WHAT IS BELOTERO?
Belotero is an injectable dermal filler that smooths moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles on the face. It is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component in the skin that binds water up to 1000x its own weight. With time, the body reduces its production of collagen and elastin, causing thinning, wrinkles, creases, and grooves to appear in the skin. Belotero is a soft and cohesive gel that is gently injected into fine lines and wrinkles to non-surgically achieve smoother appearance. Studies of long term use of hyaluronic acid filler have also show to have anti-aging benefits by stimulating collagen.

WHICH AREAS DOES BELOTERO TREAT?
-
Moderate nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth)
-
Etched-in smile lines
-
Vertical lip lines/ Smoker’s lines (thin lines that appear above and around the lips)
-
Horizontal chin crease

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Belotero usually lasts up to 6 months, but individual results may vary. The amount of product used and the area it is injected into may affect how long Belotero lasts. In areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling, the product may not last as long as other less active areas. As you continue to maintain this treatment, you may notice that subsequent injections are required less frequently. The long term use of hyaluronic acid may stimulate natural production of collagen.
